I really cant say much because ive done it also, but Its REALLY not a good idea to feed them like that. Honestly, theres not much that can hurt you faster than a old cow,even if she is just trying to get fed.(unless its a horse or mule who doesnt respect your space).Old neighbor just a couple of years ago stopped and opened a gate and wind blew a empty feed sack off back the truck.He turned his back on the cattle to grab it and a old cow hit him and broke his back,trying to get fed first. Hes still just barely getting around.Honestly and truthfully,day in and day out,its best to keep them a little afraid of you.just like a horse they need to know where your space is. they dont really make good pets,regardless of how tame they are.
