I use to sell mowers and parts. People would come in and buy a battery in the spring then comeback and buy a starter, then bring it in for me to repair. 9 times out of 10 The cylinder was full of gasoline because the float valve did not seal because of the gum from ethynol. Take the sparkplug out after you change the oil and blow the gasoline out of the cylinder. The gasoline will push the oil right through the muffler.
