If all you do is let it run with the cows yep nothing more then another cow but if you want to ride and work it then it does in fact cost more. Saddles are not cheap and then you need to brush it before you put the saddle one etc etc etc and it adds up fast. I know I have 2 horses and a pony but I like to have them because of the garden and the fact the manure is real good for that
