Lots of field work in central Illinois. Plenty of NH3, spraying, field prep work taking place. Heard reports of planting but not seen it. Soil temps are warm. Everything growing and blooming. Seems weird this early, but my 90 year old Grandpa told me last week...It"s nothing I havenn"t seen before. He was telling me that there really was no winter in 1953-54. They could work in the field every month. Got the crop planted, then the temps soared and the rain shut off. He says, you plant when the weather says go and forget the calendar.
