Bill, I also have a model 60 and think they are one of Deere's highest two-cylinder achievements! You need the following books avaliable from your John Deere dealer: Operator's Manual OM-R2034 Parts Catalog PC-244 Service Manual SM2008 Like all things Deere be prepared to pay, and if money is an issue then the Operator's manual will have info for fluids, types, amounts, specs, how often, etc. and you could probably get away with just that, although the others come in handy for restoration work and general good info. Buy all that you can. Good Luck. My 60 is a 1955 that my Grandpa bought brand new!! Love the thing. LA
