I guess I'm naive but I don't see why having a required SMV sign is an issue. If a person is cruising down the highway at 55 mph at 4am on their way to work and slam into the back of a black buggy traveling at 10 mph...case closed. I think that it's in the public's interest to have the SMV sign better yet flashing lights.
I was also under the assumption that gasoline/diesel taxes payed for the roads, are they paying a use tax for using public roadways?
I have nothing against the Amish, or any other religion and lifestyle for that matter, until they start causing the rest of us grief. If we all stop paying fines for everything will the government just change the law for us too? Something stinks there in Kantukee and it ain't the manure spreader.
