I agree with gtski. I'd think that you probably need new spark plug wires and/or resistor plugs.
Many, many years ago I was stationed at a Navy base that required an electrical emissions test to permit a vehicle on the base. I was running pure copper ignition wires and failed the test miserably. I replaced the wires with carbon (resistive) wires and passed first time.
If you haven't replaced the wires in a long time, I think that it might really help.
Also, as mentioned, there's usually a capacitor on the output of the alternator. If that's bad, you might also be getting noise in your 12 volt wiring.
