I have a 5303 with 1900 hours on it. It is used quite a bit during the summer. It is my primary tractor. I have had all the problems you are listing. The cure I have found is to put an inline fuel filter in the fuel line coming out of the tank. I put mine about 4 inches from the tank. If you would like the number (Wix filter) I can look and email you later.
Now to your current problem. You have water or gunk in your fuel system. Drain the bottom of the "water seperator" and put some disel fuel conditioner in the tank. IF you have any quesiton my email is open
