finally got it, what a pia! recip saw did it, this was a old drive tire off my kenworth still had some tread but caught a piece of steel in the sidewall so it wasnt good for anything, near as i can tell the section of tire is about 2 1/2 inches thick, from the inside casing to the tread about 6 sets of steel chords in there in 2 different levels plus some other stuff, tough! now i got to notch the excavator tread so this piece will fit in there and install the link system i made to hold the split section mechanicly togeather, after i saw what the tire was made of im wondering if i need the steel hinge link, lol i better use it id hate to have it tear loose
