You are probably well aware, but just in case anyone is fooling with tires on rims and could create what the link shows, might be informative. I repaired a rim on my tractor once, thankfully I dismounted the tire completely, but did not know about this. Common sense told me given the heat, don't want to damage my tire, might have been able to do it with beads off but the tire loosely on the rim, darned good thing I did not take the easy way and skip the tire removal step.
Probably more related to welding and using a torch but I think they said it can happen even if both beads are off the rim, kind of a strange phenomenon with heat, and tires on rims.
