Seed potatoes can cost 80 cents per pound here and have a 5% sales tax on them.I find my saved seed grows better than certified seed.A big tiller can move a potato 200 feet.The usual price for a 50 lb bag of seed potatoes is 20 bucks here.The bags are full of big baking sized potatoes that must be cut.Cutting invites rot.Plant a row of your saved potatoes next to a row of certified seed.Same variety.Your seed will come up first.Been planting potatoes for 65 years.
