Way behind.. KUBOTA had on the open market a radio controled disel lawn mower for 4 or 5 years in late 80 s early 90s. We sold several to the government to mow slopes. Thing worked well amazing thing the reason they too them off the market some dealer had one in a perade and someway it failed and ran over some people. Kubota had to pay up so they quit marketing them. I got the last one manafactured and had to sign all sorts of waivers about future use.
