I am a land surveyor and ran across this photo in an old highway file. It was taken in 1931 of a potato warehouse located in Lindstrom Minnesota, that was acquired for US Highway 8. I was wondering what that machine is on the left hand side. I think it's a pull type grader, used to level the gravel of the road surface. You can make out a blade under it. Other guys have other ideas. I know a few of you can probably even tell me the name of the manufactor. Also there is an old tank truck to the right, that may of been used for water to keep the dust down though this town. It's fun to find these old photos in files. It shows what it was really like back then.
