June is a little early, best planted, about Aug 15, around here, in central MD. I planted them in wet ground, and they really did a number, improving drainage. They die out, in December, when the temps get into the teens. They rot down to nothing, the ones I had planted last Sept, are gone, by now. Not too sure what rate, I planted, I was putting them in the potato row, by hand. Check around on the prices, Rupp has them, and and the guy, in Holtwood PA, if I recall right.
