Being you asked about your serial #....Since you didn't mention a small triangle, Delta sign after the Y, I will speculate that your tractor was never worked to the point that the rear end needed the IH update. It was the 460/560 series tractor that started the down fall of IH. Bearings failed, bull gears shelled out and the like. IH fixed these tractor at little to no charge to the owners. When the work was completed a Delta sign was stamped after the last character in the Serial #. Sounds like your tractor was not used and abused in it's younger like. Thought you might like to know.
