Dodgeit said: (quoted from post at 16:22:25 02/15/12) I have what appears to be a #7 plow bolt, sometimes known as a bucket tooth bolt. The problem is that in looking up replacements they all start larger sized than I am needing. I need 3/8 x 1 1/4 and 7/16 x 1 1/4.
They came off a Deere 472 disc plow, and the old parts #s have been replaced by #3 plow bolts.
Any ideas where to find them? I need 10 of the 7/16ths bolts and 4 of the 3/8ths size.
Thanks
McMaster, Grainger, and Fastenal have the larger sizes, usually 1/2 inch diameters and larger in grade 8.
The Parts Depot would probably have some, but you'd need to know OEM part numbers (IH, JD, Oliver, MH, and others used these) and find a dealer who orders from them.
There are other places that will supply these in the size, grade, and head type you desire, but you're looking at a custom order of thousands or 10's of thousands of a single size of bolt.
