Where I grew up, we picked corn - then we shucked it (removed the husk), then threw it in the wagon (only because dad made us pick the rows that he left standing for snow fence... to me it was pointless, the driveway STILL caught a lot of snow). We shuck sweet corn before we cook it (unless we are grilling it, then we leave the shucks on). We also shuck peas, and peanuts too.

Today's Featured Article - Product Review: Black Tire Paint - by Staff. I have been fortunate in that two of my tractors have had rear tires that were in great shape when I bought the tractor. My model "H" even had the old style fronts with plenty of tread. My "L" fronts were mismatched Sears Guardsman snow tires, which I promptly tossed.
