The biggest thing I have noticed as I have gotten older is that things just take more time. Your not a fast as you used to be. You don't recover as fast as you used too. That I hate the most. You sprain an ankle or hit your shin and it takes a week to get even a little better.
Getting older is still better than your other choice. The best thing about it is things usually get easier financially. You will pay off the house and the kids grow up. I now have some time for hobbies.
Just make sure to spend as much time as you can with your kids. Their childhood will be gone in a flash. You will look back in that twenty five years and wonder where they went.
