At one time you could get the remote kit for the JD 850 from the dealer, as well as a power steering kit to install. They were expensive back then and they've been unavailable for quite some time. I've had my eye out for a used remote kit for mine for years. I've seen them on ebay occasionally, but the price was way out of line. I've also talked to someone on this forum about using aftermarket items to do the job. Apparently it is a pretty simple job for someone in a good hydraulics shop to fab something up. The service manual has a good schematic of the hydraulic system. It's on my list of things to do someday. By the way, the 850 is a great little tractor, I've had mine for almost 14 years with only routine maintenance. Very fuel efficient.
