I have a buddy that lives down the road, his system didn't cost him but over a couple hundred dollars and he gets payments from Puget Sound Energy all the time. It is easier and smart to make your own system as he did, the only thing that cost any real amount of money for him was getting the electrician to come hook it up for him.
