Menard's definetly has it's good side and it's bad side. We have one in town and that's good. They are the lowest cost amoung lumber yards and hardware stores, but the product quality and service levels are lower too.
I think of Menards as the K-Mart of lumber yards and hardware stores. Sometimes that fits the need perfectly, when it doesn't I go some place else.
