The Immanuel cemetary is, as stated, between two houses a half mile south of I-80, approximately mile marker 380 in Nebraska. There once was a church there, and one of the houses was the parsonage. My mother grew up a half mile west of the church and cemetary, and attended both church and school at Immanuel church.
I live on the north of I-80 about two miles from the cemetary, as the crow flies. I have relatives and neighbors buried there, and as I recall I've looked for a Lena Schopp without success.
There was a Dargeloh family that lived a half mile south of the Immanuel cemetary. A Bill Dargeloh and his wife, now deceased, (my parent's generation) lived there, then their son Richard, also now deceased. According to the county directory, Richard's widow still lives there. Possibly Wilhelmine Dargeloh could have been Bill's mother?
There is also a Mount Pleasant cemetary just north and half mile west of the 382 mile marker on I-80. I live a half mile west and a half north of that cemetary. The cemetary archives in the Seward Public Library once led me to belive Lena may have been buried on Mt. Pleasant.
I tried to find her on both cemetaries several years ago and gave up. I have a cousin whose wife's maiden name was "Woebbecke", actually she and I were in grade school together. She's deeply into ancestry, and I know I asked her once about Lena. I don't believe she knew that much.
You have me curious all over again. I don't have any committments tomorrow I can't work around so if the weather doesn't get as lousy as they say it's supposed to, I may revisit one or both cemetaries.
