I just got through viewing the American Restoration Pedal Tractor show. The owner of the toy wanted the picture of his Father in the seat in remembrance of his Father who had given him the tractor in his youth. I can't tell about the shade of the paint but the decals appeared fine to me. An earlier poster stated they painted with a rattle can but the paint gun they used to paint the toy had a long rubber hose attached to the can. I totally agree $2800 is an extreme price.
