If they are properly adjusted the don't shift too bad. When I helped the neighbor with hay got to use his 2-105 white and wasn't exactly a fan of the gear layout. And he also forgot to tell me to run in direct when going down hills. All in all the oliver drivetrain held up very well, the biggest downside these days is parts availability. Agco is getting to be about a joke to get parts from in our area at least and the next closest dealer is almost 100 miles away. We have a couple old MM tractors and that really irritates me that you either can't get what you need or in the case of our white planter when you need it yesterday they either don't stock it or can't get for 3 days.
