I have no idea how much cigarettes are over there but they are notoriously expensive in The UK. I have never smoked but a friend of mine quit by the following method. She smoked about 25 a day apparently and one day she sat down with a pen and a piece of paper ( or maybe an empty cig. packet! )and calculated how much she was spending on cigarettes per day, then per week.... then per year. It amounted to over 2000 pounds! She quit "cold turkey" the following day.
