I was helping my son do a little work on one of his projects last Sunday which called for some fiberglass work. He trusted me with the mixing (which I"ve done many times before) so I read the instructions for a change to be sure I mixed the resin right. I usually just squirt a dab of catalyst in the cup but wanted his project to go good, but I ended up MIS-reading the chart and put too little catalyst in the resin. Two days now and still gooey.
After giving myself a proper cursing, I"m searching for a way to salvage it short of stripping the mat all off and redoing it. Tried a little "hot batch" on top and it seems to be curing slowly, but still wet underneath. Any other ideas?
