Just recently sold the last of the cow herd after 49 years in the business. It leaves me with about 35 acres of hay ground not suitable for row crops because of too much slope.
A neighbor has asked to cut hay from this ground and is willing to fertilize according to soil tests. Its productive land and will easily produce 3 tons per acre the first cutting. The question is, what is a fair price per acre, or bale, 5x5 rounds? Thanks, Joe
