If I remove the cover over the rods and crank, plus pull the head, do you think I need to yard out the crank? I would like to fix it but my better half says no. If I start and can remove enough to tell where I am at, I might convince her. This has been part of the family for almost 20 years now....hate to see it go. I know there are shims under the rod caps. Anything else I should be aware of pulling this down? Water must have got in the intake? Exhaust has always been covered. Thanks for the quick reply. lyle
