I agree with RMinVa .Gas prices shot up when Hurricane Katrina hit the gulf and has not come down since. Big oil claimed rig damage made prices go up. My son in law works offshore.The rigs were all heavily covered by insurance. Katrina and all other hurricanes are just an excuse to hike prices. Have you ever noticed prices on everything are set by what the market will bear. Log on to Lowes,Home depot or Tractor S.upply and the first thing they ask is your zip code in order for you to see the price. Same for gas and diesel prices.
