You constantly amaze me! How you can work in such a cold environment, although you have a heated shop, but you do stuff outdoors also. My shop is not yet heated, and at this age (sixty 6) I am getting to feel the cold a lot more than I used to. I have a few big projects in slow motion, but as it warms up a bit, I'll be back on them. Thanks for your frequent updates.
Can I vote on your next project?? I'd like to see the Prairie Gold up to its useful self again. I have 2 smaller MMs as well, a ZB and a UB Special. The ZB gets used often for moving wagons around the yard and pulling out some firewood, and the UB is near runnable, but I need a steering part for the wide front (the part that slips into the V shape dovetail notch on the bottom of the steering motor, and drops down to allow the attachment of the plate that holds the centers of the 2 tie rods. I may end up making the necessary part, as my son recently won the bid on an old Bridgeport mill. But I need to come up with a 3 phase converter before I can run the mill. And I am making an insulated machine shop room within the big shop. It was -25 C here this morning (-15 F). But it has been one of the warmest winters on record here, west of Minneapolis.
I enjoy your pictures and would love to have even 10% of your energy.
