Here in SW Ontario, Leylands and their Nuffield forefathers are common. The BMC engine in them is very reliable and starts pretty much every time. The 10 speed transmission moves quick down the road. They're good on fuel, and have decent power. The problem with them is in the PTO clutches (at least on Nuffields). The hydraulics and PTO are on one hand clutch. You pull the clutch back, set it to either hyd. or PTO (not both, either) and let the clutch out. It does not work well for bushhogging, etc. Maybe they improved this on the Leylands, but the old Nuffields we have are like that. Overall, a tough built and reliable tractor, but could've used some improvements, such as making them not vibrate so bad, they'll shake you to pieces.
