Motor speed (RPM) is dependent upon the speed (frequency) of the rotating magnetic field.
Dean Of course you are right...but what control the frequency of the rotating field?.. these water pump direct hooked up to the solar panel operate from zero to full flow depending on the amount of sun. They have to be running at different speed to do this, therefor the controller must be putting out 3 phase at varying speed. depend on what? I don't think that they could be "slipping " that much in speed. The pumps seem to run as fast as they can with what is wired to them. I see one pump listed it's GPM at 24 volt and half that flow at 12 volts.
