I just read the book " American Sniper" You read that and you will get a feel for how seeing your fellow soldiers killed, maimed, tortured, etc by the Muslim "Savages" and you will get a glimmer of understanding of how war hardens and changes our soldiers.
Not to mention we force them to fight against a hidden enemy (the rag heads dont wear uniforms so how do you distinguish enemy from civilian?) and subject out troops to insane ROE's (Rules of Engagement)
