I live in west central Indiana
I'm 45 minutes to Indy and 20 minutes to Walmart I have 10 acres and farm a few other fields (small) i rent. health care is great I even like the VA hospital. i have 4 kids and both the wife and I went to school here the schools are great better the further away from Indy you get. Tax's are ridiculous in Marion county (Indianapolis) and all the counties surrounding but once you get out side of that there not bad. Crime and drugs is like any were else just depends on where you are. And as for traffic, as long as you stay out of Indy or the suburbs of its not bad at all. In our town we have 1 stop light and the next town as one blinking red light and i don't think we need either. All in all i think its a good place. this year when my oldest started kindergarten they had so many kids register they had to hire another teacher and aid to add another class at the last minute. they just built the new primary school k-2nd grade and they are redoing the elementary school 3-6th grade and are adding several more teachers over the next few years. and it seems they just keep adding on to the high school every year so i imagine they have to keep adding teachers to. but besides race tourism i don't think there is much tourists that come to Indiana. but that's the story on my nick of the woods.

My Dad was wanting to put in a garden but couldn't operate the 8N and handle the old horse drawn plow he had found and rigged up to use with the tractor. Well, he decided to go get Mom out of the house and have her drive the tractor while he walked behind the plow. You got to understand that while my Mom is a hard worker who will always help whenever she can... she had never operated farm machinery before that day. Dad got her out there, explained how the clutch was the same as in our o ... [Read Article]
