I found that battery sitting out on a street for pickup today. They would've picked it up on Wednesday by the trash truck or any large items like a water heater. The positive post is tilted and the battery top has a small crack. Looks like the battery had something dropped on the post. It's Walmart's best battery with the 3 year free replacement and has 12/11 date code on it.
I lowered the acid level in that cell and put some dum dum on the crack. I hooked my charger to it and the battery is fully charged. If it had been me I would've taken it back to Walmart. If I have trouble with it I may take it back and see what they say. I don't see any acid oozing out right now. I'll try the silicone if it leaks. I'll try and get a picture of the battery. Hal
