In Mo. we have certain portions of deer season devoted just to archery or muzzleloaders. Not supposed to use a rifle during these portions. During the archery season a hunter would be in total camo, face paint, etc. too much chance of someone with a rifle killing an archer, not to mention it is not sporting.
Archery season is much longer her in Mo. to account for the difficulty of killing one with a bow.
Another thing, he is asking you to check it. The person baggin the deer is the one that needs to check it in. He is asking you to break the law so he can keep his tags and keep hunting. If you were to get caught it would be a very expensive deer.
