Got a couple horses and a miniature donkey in with the cows and they do fine together. They all get along fine.
Our horses are very choosey on what they will eat, so they leave a lot of pasture untouched. If you keep the cows confined to a small enough area then they will usually mow it down nicely, then we move them onto the next area and let them clean that up.
We keep cows confined to area of the pasture with a single strand of the electric ribbon, and don't usually have much trouble with them getting out.
