I only have six miniature horses now and was keeping my feed in a metal trash can. The horses were getting on the fat side and I started mixing four parts of oats to one part sweet feed. Until I figure out how to mix in larger quantity's I have the feed in my house garage and mix a pail full at a time. I have seen old chest type freezers used in horse boarding barns set on six by six runners. Makes it easier to reach the bottom. Least it looks that way from an old duffers eyes. Seems to be a safe clean way to keep larger amounts of feed as well.
