Opinion: The Ridge Tool Company and Emmerson, both became perveyers of second rate materials and tools. I have seen several compnies do the same. Skill, and WEN are two examples. When the transition happened, the image of the professional grade tool served for the first purchase. when that failed in action, no further repeat customers were on hand. A sorry state of affairs.
