Think that's bad. I paid $36,000 in deductions off my paycheque. Then now have to used after tax $$$ to pay sales tax, environmental tax, property tax, licence fee & registration on every little thing. About 1/2 the total paycheque in some ways goes to the governement. Who in turn wastes half of that on corporate welfare, lobby groups, welfare bums and medical care for mostly self inflicted ills and injuries. The armed forces are another notable waste. I was just watching "Ice Pilots" on tv. The armed forces were paying Buffalo air freight to haul concrete and gravel to Baffin Island from New Brunswick. The concrete could have been either planned for and frighted up by sea during the summer. Or at least traveled by rail 2/3 of the way there.
