I asked about a 4l60e a while ago that wouldn't unlock the tcc solenoid. It would unlock/lock properly after pulling the trailer 10-15 miles. I replaced the tcc solenoid and it turned out to be the problem. Is it possible that the tcc solenoid was 'tired' and the warmer fluid allowed it to work properly. Right now the truck has a 11"x16" cooler on it without cold fluid bypass. If this is possible, will it hurt the tranny in other ways? ) Also, right now the truck occasionally has a slight slip, under heavy load at heavy throttle in 2nd when hot(so the slip doesn't happen very often) 4th gear has never had a problem. I have read quite a bit about a corvette servo(stock from chevy, not aftermarket) and from what I understand, it will make faster shifts, and increase hold pressure, which sounds like a win win to me. I tow in D not OD, so I'm not so scared of killing OD. All knowledge is greatly appreciated.
