Dave if the dollars are there to fix the 97 and it will do your hauling for you, keep it and buy a 1/2 ton. We havn't had any of the 2011,s on the lot to sell. I do keep up with the truck market here, we see far more new general motors trucks on the road than we see ford or dodge. We used to see more fords than anything else, not anymore. I dont know if the ford ecoboost engine comes with a large pricetag. It is supposed to get 19-22 mpg. I get that with the standard V8 chevy and have for years. I know this doesnt help with the pricing, good luck
