When I bought my first Ram back in '98, back when you had the old school V8's, Ford and Chevy were 6K over Ram and didn't have anything to offer. My 360 cu in would pull your socks off if you had a Ford and Chevy holding on to them.
But times have changed and so has GM, thanks to "Big Brother" getting involved....best thing that ever happened to the GM consumer.
I have posted the current story many times and my Dodges were great did all that I asked of them and loved it and my new Silverado is doing the same....thanks to the Fed getting involved in GM's CHIP ON THEIR SHOULDER THAT PUT THEM UNDER!!!!!!!
