My father bought a 2011 3/4 ton Chevy Suburban (same as a pickup only heavier) with the 6.0L motor 6 speed automatic transmission, and I think 3.73 axle gears. Empty he has been getting 17-19 mpg on long road trips and 12-13 around town. Towing 10k+ lbs he drops down to about 9-10mpg.
