I have the same problem. Its due to clogged arteries that cause slow and low circulation to the feet. My calf muscels cramp when I walk a greate disttance tan about 2 blocks. I have had angioplasty where they go into the artery with a catheter with a tiny ballon on the end. This is done under x-ray and when they have it positioned right they blow it up and open the blockage. They can also install a small hollow springlike thing called a stent which will keep it open if they think it will close again. I have noticed much warmed feet, and better walking distances after having it done. Because your heart slows down when you sleep your feet get cold, much more so for diabetics. I cant sleep without sock on.
