I am 62 years old and my plan costs about the same but my employer pays 2/3. I am fortunate to have a job that I like a lot and I plan to keep working until probably 70. My observation about this is that it appears that a lot of people who are covered by big company or union plans and especially union municipal workers have no idea what insurance premiums cost.
