I normally can eat hot foot with impunity. On the one occasion a guy at work brought his families hot sauce to work and we took turns eating a spoonful at a time. I was so sick within an hour that they had to take me to the emergency room by ambulance. My insides were spasming and the doctors put some very happy stuff into my IV, but I don't remember much after that until my wife had me down the road. I don't know exactly what drug I took for my one case of severe heartburn, but it made me very happy. The cheif told my wife when he called to let her know that I was on my way to the ER, that he didn't know if I would make it, but, that seems a bit extreme.
