Sorry to hear that, my wife has had it for many years. If she points her finger at you it is hard to tell where she is really pointing. Her spine is the worse right now, crooked and pinching some of the nerves I guess or overworking some muscles. The medications do help but they have so many side effects that you want to use only as much as you can get by with. Prednisone helps a lot but is bad stuff, methotrexate helps slow the progression but causes many sores etc, really got her digestive tract all messed up. Has been on Fentanly pain patches for several years, but we hit the do-nut hole on the insurance plan again this fall and she is ornery enough she had Dr. put her on much less expensive oral morphine tablets. She also takes a lot of vicodin. It works fairly well but I am afraid it will affect her digestive system more. We quit the methotrexate few months ago as she was so sick. She will not give up though. Insists on doing every thing she always did, which of course she cannot do. I just told her the other day she will have to quit that riding lawn mower out at the farm but she says, no way, will see. Good luck.
