the downloads you wiped out? were they downloaded programs that had been installed? if you just deleted the program and its folder,chances are the .dll file was in the folder...even tho another program needs it you can delete them and cause this type problem. ALWAYS use the remove program tool in your control panel. check your recycle bin for the missing file...you may get lucky and find it in there...if its there,right click your mouse and click the option that says replace file or words to that effect.
