I have just bought a 1944 Farmall M, it is a kerosene model and has the cast war time gear shift knob. When i first looked at it i thought it was missing the lights a light bar but when i got it home yesterday i noticed the box on the steering support that houses the amp guage doesnt even have a provision for a light switch, it does have 6 volt starter and generator but does this mean it never had lights? Does anyone have any information about this? would it be an option or something to do with war shortages? any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.
